NOAA and the other federal and state agencies will hold a series of meetings across the Gulf coast to get public input on what types of restoration should be undertaken to compensate for impacts to natural resources that were exposed to oil from the Deepwater BP oil spill.
At these meetings, members of the public will learn about the environmental impacts of the spill, get an early picture of the region’s natural resource restoration needs, and can submit comments on the types of programs and projects they would like to see incorporated in future restoration strategies in response to the oil spill.
