Downtown Houma Market open to fishermen for selling their fresh catch

From Brandi LeCompte:

“We’re looking for fishermen who are interested in coming to the Market to sell their fresh catch. Market hours are 8-12, every Saturday, unless otherwise noted on operating schedule. Set-up may begin at 6:30, must be complete by 7:45. The Market will take place at 7910 West Park Ave., in the parking lot of the Waterlife Museum. Fisherman may sell from their trucks, no need to unload. They will need to provide their own tent & table. This Saturday, May 26th will be free to all vendors. Beginning in June, the cost will be $20 per week. We currently have no seafood vendors for this week. Anyone interested may contact me at 985-438-1231 to reserve a booth space.

There are restrooms located inside at the Waterlife Museum and all vendors will have free access to them. We have a Cajun band playing on the porch of the museum every Saturday. We’ll have fresh produce, canned and jarred items, fresh baked goods, and breakfast will be served this Saturday by Havana Grill and Dulac Community Center, as well as a children’s activity, lemonade stand and arts and crafts.”
