Lafourche Central Market, located at 4484 LA Hwy 1 in Raceland, is an open-air pavilion equipped with about 30 booths for local farmers, fishermen, and artisans to sell their wares. It will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon every Saturday, beginning this coming Saturday, September 15.
Fishermen, farmers, and artisans will have the opportunity to sell their products directly to interested individuals at the site which is located right next to the visitor center on La Hwy 1, under the Hwy 90 overpass.
Lafourche Central Market is managed by Brandi LeCompte, Project Director of the Gulf Coast Marketplace (an Options for Independence organization).
The market is actively seeking vendors for the marketplace.
